Why hot tub holidays are good for you

Staycations are in and so are hot tubs. With the climate of the UK not quite as tempting as overseas, the UK is experiencing a great dalliance with hot tubs as they are perfect all year round.Whilst the added luxury of a hot tub is becoming more and more popular, not all of us have the budget nor the space to install in our own home. Away on holiday, however, this is a luxury our guests don’t have to commit to long term. While away lazy mornings in your lodge and into the blissful, bubbling hot tub and we’d like to give the perfect excuse to join us for your next holiday.

Reduce stress

You’ve had an important meeting, a tight deadline or you’ve just not had a lot of time to yourself recently. Whilst the suggested benefit of a hot tub is that they can make you temporarily relaxed, studies have shown that a hot tub can help reduce both mental and physical stress. The features of hot water, massaging jets and the feeling of weightlessness are all features that contribute to this.

Muscle Relief

Again, I’m not saying you should sit in the hot tub throughout the duration of your holiday, however, hydrotherapy is one of the most popular treatments of different conditions including aches, pains and arthritis. The use of warm water allows your muscles to relax and eases the pain of joints.

Lowers blood pressure

Once again, hot tubs are proven to help improve our help and its good news for those if which struggle with high blood pressure. Studies show that a hot water soak causes the blood vessels to slightly dilate, ergo lowing blood pressure. Now, we are by no means telling you it’s the best idea to soak in the hot tub your entire holiday, but we are letting you know there’s nothing wrong with the odd hot tub use.

Improves sleep

Soaking in a hot tub raises your body temperature and the relaxation caused by the buoyancy in the water can be deeply relaxing, this creating the perfect condition for what could be your best nights sleep. Studies have also suggested that once your body temperature drops after using the hot tub, this may also induce a much deeper sleep.

Pamper yourself

Last but not least, take care of yourself and rejuvenate yourself. Allow time to relax and unwind, combine your soak with a glass of bubbly, a good book or a cup of tea. You deserve it.
