“Supporting people and places to drive growth”

English Tourism Week 2025 by Visit England.

What is English Tourism Week?

English Tourism Week 2025 is an annual celebration showcasing the best of England’s travel and hospitality industry. Running from the 14th to the 23rd of March, this week highlights the economic and cultural importance of tourism while encouraging people to explore and support local destinations. Led by VisitEngland (from whom we are 5* accredited, might we add!), it aims to boost awareness of the sector and promote the variety of attractions, experiences, and accommodations England has to offer.

  • It supports around 2.6 million jobs across the country.
  • Domestic travel accounts for the majority of tourism spending, with millions of people opting for staycations each year.
  • Attractions such as historic sites, museums, national parks, and coastal resorts see millions of visitors annually, helping to sustain local economies.

Why It Matters

The English tourism market needs support now more than ever. After the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, rising costs, and global economic uncertainty, the industry is still trying to bounce back. Many travellers are now looking for more affordable or accessible holiday options, and the sector is dealing with lower pricing and higher operating costs. By supporting local businesses and promoting England as a must-visit destination, we can boost tourism and create jobs, helping the economy grow again.
Supporting it not only helps local businesses thrive but also preserves the country’s rich history and culture for future generations. By choosing to explore England’s diverse landscapes, heritage sites, and attractions, you contribute to a stronger and more sustainable tourism industry.

As this pivotal week approaches, consider how you can take part in celebrating and supporting this vital industry.

Whether it’s a weekend getaway, a visit to a nearby attraction, or simply spreading the word, every effort counts!
