Holiday Questions

What time is check in/check out?

Our check in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is possible to request an early check in at 1pm for an additional £38 or a late checkout at 1pm for an additional £38. Please request this with a member of the team at Strawberryfield Park before doing so and payment is required prior to arrival.

How do I check in and out?

We offer a self check in service here at the park. Your key will be in the door upon the day of your arrival from 4pm and we ask that you leave the key in the door upon your departure.

What is the minimum and maximum length I can stay?

Our minimum stay is 3 nights from a Friday or 4 nights from a Monday. You can also book a 7 night stay from Friday or Monday. The maximum length of stay in one lodge is 21 days.

What's included when I stay at Strawberryfield Park?

We provide a starter welcome pack with tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits to start you off. There is a hairdryer in each bedroom, and we provide a complimentary toilet roll for each bathroom. As we are self-catering, we do recommend you do a shop for the remainder of your stay and you are more than welcome to get one delivered here for after your arrival

All linen and towels are provided as well as robes.

All utility costs are included in your stay.

Can a cot and highchair be provided?

We do offer a limited number of travel cots and highchairs, free of charge. These are offered on a first come, first serve basis and will be left in the lodge for you on your arrival.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes. We have 8 dog friendly lodges; Combe Hay, Deer Leap, Honeyhurst, Blackbird Lodge, The Sleights, Diamond Lodge, The Willows and Whileaway Lodge. There is a £40 charge per dog per stay and a maximum capacity of two dogs per booking. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.

What is Strawberryfield Park's dog policy?

Some of our lodges are dog friendly, however we do have a few rules to ensure the park can be appreciated by dog owners and non-dog owners alike.

There is an orchard at the bottom of the park which your dog is more than welcome to exercise and run in. Please see below our on-site doggy rules:

  1. Your booking confirmation must state you have a dog during your stay. This ensures you have received permission from the park prior to arrival.
  2. We ask that dogs are always kept on a lead when they are on park, except in the lodge. This is primarily for their own safety as there will be vehicles coming and going.
  3. Dogs must not be left in the lodge alone at any time.
  4. We ask that you refrain from letting your dog on beds, sofas, chairs and in hot tubs.
  5. All fouling must be disposed of in an appropriate manner and that you do not let your dog mess on the grass around the lodges. There is a dog waste bin at the top of the park next to The Cider Barn.
  6. Please ensure that decking gates are kept closed at all times.
Is there an on site food and drink facility?

Although it does not belong to the park, The Cider Barn is located at the top of Strawberryfield Park. Opening times are Monday to Thursday 12pm to 10pm and Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12pm to 11pm. Food is served everyday 12pm to 3pm and 6pm to 8.30pm.

Can I smoke when I'm at Strawberryfield Park?

Smoking is prohibited inside all of our properties.

What if I leave something behind?

We understand this may happen from time to time. We will make sure your belongings are left in our lost and found area. We ask our guests to contact us if they believe they have left any belongings behind. From there, we will liaise with you about returning them, however, please note that we cannot be held accountable for any belongings you have left behind.

General Questions

How far is it to Cheddar Gorge?

We are conveniently located near Cheddar Village and Cheddar Gorge. Cheddar is less than 5 minutes away by car.

Is there a shop close by?

We are less than a 5 minute drive from Cheddar where there is a Tesco Express and a Sainsbury’s. There is a Tesco, Morrisons and Lidl in Wells, which is only 15 – 20 minute drive from Strawberryfield Park.

Do you offer Electric Vehicle Charging?

We do not currently offer vehicle charging here at Strawberryfield Park, however, free charging can be found in the nearby City of Wells. (About 15 minutes away).

Can I purchase a Gift Voucher?

Booking Questions

Do I need to pay a deposit?

If your holiday is more than eight weeks away, a deposit of £125 or 25% of the total holiday cost (whichever is greater) is required to secure your booking. You can pay by debit/credit card, over the phone or online. We only accept payment in pounds sterling.

When is the final balance of my holiday due?

Your final balance must be paid no less than eight weeks before the start of your stay. We will send a reminder 7 days prior to the date it is due and this will include a secure payment link for you to pay the balance. If your holiday is less than eight weeks away at the time of booking, the full payment will be required to secure the booking.

How can I pay?

You can pay for your holiday by debit/credit card over the phone or online.

We do not accept American Express.

Is there a booking fee?

We do not charge a booking fee.

Can I make a provisional booking?

We may be able to provisionally hold a booking without charge for a short amount of time whilst you get ready to confirm. This is not possible on last minute bookings.

Provisional bookings cannot be made direct on the website so we advise you to contact the office.

When will I receive my booking confirmation and directions?

You will receive your booking confirmation in full with directions once the final balance of your holiday is paid. If you have paid your full balance and are yet to receive your booking confirmation, please contact the office directly.

What happens if I need to cancel my booking?

If you need to cancel your holiday, please inform us in writing as soon as possible. You can find full details of our cancellation policy in our booking terms and conditions, which can be viewed here.
