Visit the local award-winning Tuckers Fish & Chip Restaurant and Takeaway to experience real British traditional dining in the historic city of Wells and also at Cheddar Gorge at the foot of the glorious Mendip Hills.
Tuckers has been in the Simeone family for over 25 years, with the first one being Tuckers in Wells opening 1988. Having had a fish and chip shop in Cheddar before, and still living locally it was an opportunity when in 2005 we opened Tuckers in Cheddar. We believe that quality comes first, all our food is prepared fresh daily and cooked to order giving our customers the quality that they have become accustomed to.
This may mean a small wait at times…but it’s worth it. However, if time is not on your side, you are welcome to telephone your order and collect at your convenience. In both our restaurants we provide a friendly and relaxed atmosphere even offering Bring Your Own Wine.
