Here at Strawberryfield Park we think that Winter isn’t given the credit it deserves…
Granted, this could be because us Brits feel as though we spend a good 80% of the year without any sunshine. However, if you take a step back and think about not only the gorgeous sights it brings but also all the feelings of being cosy, at home and content, it makes you realise that sometimes we don’t appreciate what’s right in front of us.
So, let’s take a moment to appreciate the little things.

We stayed at Charterhouse for our anniversary and it was just lovely, we have booked again for next year. The arrival they give you is so thoughtful, a bottle of wine, milk, coffee tea sugar, biscuits and bottled water plus a welcome information pack which is absolute gold dust, it has absolutely every bit of information you could possibly need. Within the hour a lovely member of staff very quietly and discretely knocked on the door to find out if there was anything we needed or if there were any issues. Lodge was spacious and immaculate, dressing gowns hairdryer etc provided. We had such a lovely time, the weather was less than favourable, but in a beautiful hot tub with a starlit canopy who cares???? Book here if you want to forget about the world for a few days. Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Me and my husband stayed in Deer Leap with our pooch, we have never seen our dog so happy! The dog biscuits were also a lovely touch, they were enjoyed very much and our pup is fussy with any biscuit so we knew it was goi no to be a good stay. It really felt like a home away from home- except for the hot tube being a nice addition. The lodge was very spacious and clean, it was very toasty during the cold nights. We really felt we were in a luxury lodge! The hot tub was a lovely touch too, we had everything we needed and more. Very convenient location and peaceful. If you’re looking for a mini getaway with your dog, absolutely stay here!!Date of stay: November 2025

No words can express how much we enjoy staying at The Levels. This was our second visit in as many months. The lodge is lovely, clean and has the most amazing bed, bathroom and hot tub. The log fire was lovely especially on the rainy nights. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. We can’t wait to come back in February for another stay 😊
